FBD has announced the extension of its joint venture with Taylor Wimpey, Spain, for the upcoming construction of more than 600 homes.
This launch was announced during an event held at the La Cala Clubhouse, which was attended by David Kelly, CEO of FBD Hotels & Resorts, the Mijas Town Planning Councillor, Andrés Ruiz, and the First Deputy Mayor and Works Councillor, José Carlos Martín. They highlighted the importance of La Cala Golf Resort in the development of the municipality, not only in attracting quality tourism but also for the generation of local employment.
For his part, Director of the La Cala Resort, Sean Corte Real, explained the comprehensive renovation of the resort facilities, the hotel rooms, the clubhouse cafeteria and the future expansion of the public car park. A series of actions aimed at consolidating La Cala Golf among the elite golf resorts on the Costa del Sol.
Ignacio Oslé, Director of Taylor Wimpey on the Costa del Sol, has explained the trajectory of the company in the last 8 years showing the last six projects completed to date and the new project called Solana Village. This new promotion, whose works began in November of last year and which will involve an investment of around €16m, is located right in the centre of the resort, very close to the clubhouse and surrounded by golf courses. The complex has a total of 197 apartments and a large communal green area and a beach-style pool, unique in the area due to its size and benefits.
